This year’s theme, “Beyond Compliance: Adult Safeguarding in a Changing Landscape,” brings together leaders and professionals from across health, social care, housing and community services to explore how safeguarding continues to evolve.
The symposium will:
– Reflect on key learning since the September 2024 conference
– Explore the implications of the recent Baroness Casey review
– Support understanding of how safeguarding activity is changing over time
– Examine emerging and ongoing risks, and how data can inform planning, training and prevention
The day will feature a wide-ranging programme of expert speakers and discussions, including:
– The strategic landscape of adult safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration
– Insights from registered managers and frontline professionals
– Key challenges facing providers, including transitions of care and cross-boundary safeguarding
– Medication safety and when concerns become safeguarding issues
– The role of social care nursing frameworks
– Digital innovations supporting safeguarding processes
– Regulatory expectations and the legal framework for safeguarding
The afternoon will include an interactive session and panel discussion, providing an opportunity for attendees to share perspectives and ask questions.
With dedicated time for networking throughout the day, the symposium offers a valuable opportunity to connect, reflect and strengthen our collective approach to safeguarding adults.

Registration opens at 9:30am, with a 10:00am start. The event will close at 3:30pm.
