In April 2024, we unveiled our new identity for the Registered Care Association (RCA) in East Sussex, Brighton & Hove: East Sussex Partners in Care (ESPiC) and Brighton & Hove Partners in Care (BHPiC).
Over the last five years, the need for greater collaboration, broader representation, and alignment with local commissioning has become clear. To better serve all providers—from care homes to domiciliary care, day services, supported living, and hospices—we’re moving to a “Partners in Care” model, ensuring equal support for every type of care provider.
By establishing two sub-groups, ESPiC and BHPiC, we can work more closely with each local authority and health commissioners. Some meetings and events will be specific to each area, but many will remain shared. Our team will continue to support both regions with tailored information, advice, and events.
We’re also expanding to a Sussex-wide level, collaborating with West Sussex Partners in Care and launching the “Sussex-Wide Partners in Care Projects Board” to manage joint initiatives like the Sussex Digital In-Reach Team and the International Recruitment Project. This board ensures representation at key regional meetings, including with NHS Sussex and Skills for Care.
Our new name reflects our partnership with the entire health and care sector while keeping the core support services of the RCA. We’re excited to continue providing local care providers with an association they can truly be proud of!
